Calling all active 8-12 year olds! This event has been 500 million years in the making! Search for amazing ammonites and tremendous trilobites as well as many other delightful shell fossils on this Ranger led walk in the foothills of the Campsie Fells. Join Lucy to hand stitch at least two felt brooches or other items, e.g. bookmarks and coasters, great to keep for yourself or give as gifts. The workshop will cover an introduction to sewing felt, a simple project to get you started, then a more complex project. The workshop includes felt for 6 items, for at least two items during the workshop and the remaining as a kit to take home. A tea/coffee and a piece of cake is also included. This summer, Theatre Presto are performing ‘McAlister in Wonderland’, which is commemorating 100 years since the end of the First World War. McAlister is a young cadet stuck in the trenches of the First World War, when suddenly a puffin runs past. McAlister follows the creature and escapes the traumatic horrors of the war by entering his own imaginary wonderland. Good, old fashion, family fun that has been inspired by Lewis Carroll and has ‘sing-a-long’ songs, with song sheets, from the 1914 – 1918 period. Booking essential, 0141 956 6100. Fizzgig Theatre presents Treasure Island

Treasure Island by Raymond Burke (and Robert Louis Stevenson.) Ahoy there!! Everybody loves pirates and the most famous buccaneer of them all, Long John Silver along with some of his ferocious friends will soon be dropping anchor in your local area to perform Stevenson’s classic, Treasure Island.
The well loved tale is brought to life in a newly updated script brimming over with singalong songs, jolly jokes and interactive games that will entertain pirates of all ages. Along the way we meet characters such as Ben Gunn the castaway and Captain Flint the talking Parrot and Jim realises that friendship is more valuable than all the gold in the world. ULTM8 WARRIOR EVENT

Ultm8 Warrior is the UK’s first “Junior only” OCR event series! We’ll be offering heats for the following age groups 4-6yrs (1Km), 7-9yrs (2Km) and 10-13yrs (3Km). Each heat will involve 1, 2 or 3 laps of our unique Ultm8 Warrior Obstacle Course. There will be 25+ obstacles including hurdles, net crawls, ramps, mankey bars, balance beams and more!
