What do I need to know?

What shall I wear?
Stout shoes or boots are best as some of the tracks go over wet and rough ground. Take waterproofs in case it rains.

What else should I take?
A drink and a snack would be handy. It's a good excuse to stop for a rest and admire the view.

Can I take my dog?
Yes, but always keep it under close control or on a lead if there are sheep.

Should I keep to the tracks?
Yes, keep to the routh shown and remember that you'll be walking through other peoples workplaces (farming, forestry etc).

What else should I know?
Check your map and routh before you go - can you make it?
If alone, let someone know where you are going.
Follow the Country Code and take notice of any signs along the way.
