Outdoor Learning
| The Ranger Service work with people of all ages and abilities to enable them to learn more about the world around them and engage with it in a positive way. | We are happy to run outdoor education sessions for your group if they are studying an environmental topic. We can visit your school, lead the activities in your local greenspace or meet your group at Mugdock Country Park. We can provide support and resources for self led visits if a Ranger is not available. The Ranger Service can also give teacher or leader training courses and advice on delivering environmental education. We can provide environmental information, advice and equipment loan to schools, scouts, guides and other community groups interested in finding out more about the environment. | | | Dipping the Allander Water |
| We help with university and school projects and accept students on work experience placements. We also give talks and presentations to community groups about anything from wildlife gardening to the history of Mugdock Country Park. The Ranger Service often works with schools to improve their school grounds by adding a wildlife area. We can provide information, advice and small grants for School Grounds improvement projects.
