    Brush up on your butterfly and wildflower identification skills with the Ranger Service.  Help record the different species on a wander round Merkland Local Nature Reserve.  Meet in Merkland Local Nature Reserve car park off Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch.  Everyone welcome.

    Basic Bike Maintenance.

    11am – 12.30pm Run by Active Schools (East Dunbartonshire Council), we are offering participants on the improver session the chance to attend this session in the morning. This is designed to give cyclists the skills to do trackside repairs to their own bike. It will focus on fixing broken chains, repairing a puncture, altering brakes and cleaning your bike. Please note this is not a session to fix problems with your own bike, but to give you skills to make emergency repairs whilst riding. This Event is free, but booking is essential.

    Walk – From the Canal to the Kelvin

    Discover the wee creatures that live in, on and under the wild places of Torrance on this minibeast hunt with the Ranger Service.  Meet at the war memorial on the Main Street.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

    The History of the Mountain Moss, Lenzie

    Join Friends of Lenzie Moss and Ranger Service on a walk to discover why Lenzie Moss used to be called the Mountain Moss and the changes it has gone through since then. From peat cuttings to present day, learn how the Moss is managed to benefit people and wildlife.  Meet at the moss end of Lenzie Railway Station car park.
