‘The Park in Spring’ Art Competition
As part of ‘Year of Young People 2018’, Mugdock Makkers are running an art competition for Primary age children. The theme is ‘The Park in Spring’ and you can use any medium for your artwork and it can be up to A4 in size. There are three age categories P1-3, P4-5 and P6-7, one winner will be chosen in each category. The winner’s artwork will be displayed in the gallery over the Easter Holidays and they will receive a small prize (not cash). Entries will be accepted between 23/02/2018 and 09/03/2018 either via your school or handed into the gallery. Bang Together a Bird Box, Mugdock
Wednesday 14th February at 1pm – 3pm
Take part in National Nest Box Week by building a nest box for our feathered friends. Leave your box to be put up at Mugdock (free) or take it home for your garden (£5 charge). Join in with the Ranger Service anytime. Meet at the Visitor Centre.

Felt Brooches and more…
Hand Sewing Felt Workshop for Adults
Sunday 25th February, 12pm-3.30pm, £22.50 per person
Join Lucy to hand stitch at least two felt brooches, decorations or other items e.g. bookmarks and coasters. The workshop will cover an introduction to sewing felt, a simple project to get you started, tips on how to design your own items then a more complex project.. The workshop includes felt for 6 items, for at least two items during the workshop and the remaining as a kit to take home. A tea/coffee and a piece of cake is also included, making is thirsty work.
This workshop is for adults, it is suitable for beginner sewers.

Mugdock Castle Open Day
